In my college years, those big dreams of becoming a doctor quickly took a new shape. I traveled to Berlin for my study abroad program and I was hooked. The world was so big and I had been looking at it from the wrong angle. I started planning one trip then another, and then all of the sudden I found myself across continents, living and working in Shanghai. My dream became my business, the opportunity to make travel accessible to as many people as possible. Traveling on a budget and still being conscious and respectful about the environment around us can be done. I was born in Queens, NY and right away my mom felt a bit homesick. She had just moved there and missed her family and her home. We relocated to Miami soon after, as most of my father’s family lived there. I did not retain many memories from these years except for a drawing of a hurricane in roller skates (hurricane season apparently was pretty traumatizing) and a surplus of pictures with people I don’t quite remember.
